It has been announced that the MJ the Musical closing date has been set. The show will now run until the 28th of February 2026 before closing at the Prince Edward. After 2 successful years at one of the largest theatres in the West End the show will go on. The show continues to run on Broadway and a worldwide tour was announced for 2026. A UK tour will also run in 2027.

The show currently stars Jarmaal Fields-Green who will be performing the title role until the closing date. It previously starred Myles Frost who reprised his Tony-winning role in London. The show also won awards in London for Best Choreography at both the Oliviers and WhatsOnStage Awards. It was nominated for Best New Musical at both.
The rest of the company includes Matt Mills, Mitchell Zhangazha, Philippa Stefani, KoKo Alexandra. Joshua C Jackson, Rohan Pinnock-Hamilton, Matt Gonsalves, Michael Conley, Kieran Alleyne, Johnny Bishop and André Phipps.
Featuring a breathtaking collection of iconic songs such as Beat It, Billie Jean, Thriller, Smooth Criminal and Man in the Mirror. MJ is created by two-time Pulitzer Prize winner Lynn Nottage, and director and Tony Award-winning choreographer Christopher Wheeldon.
