This November, The Spy Who Came in From the Cold<\/a> is set to transfer to @sohoplace. This is following a successful run at Chichester Festival Theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This new adaptation of John le Carr\u00e9\u2019s The Spy Who Came in From the Cold<\/a> is written by David Eldridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eldridge says it has been a privilege to share this play to the London audience. Following on about the play’s story, he says, \u201cAlthough set in the murky world of the cold war espionage thriller it\u2019s a strikingly relevant story for our times. The Spy Who Came In From The Cold<\/em> asks us how one can retain one\u2019s humanity and morality if one must operate with the same impunity and brutality as your enemy to defeat him?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, the cast and creatives have also been announced. The story follows Alec Leamas, a retired spy who is drawn back for one final mission. Through this world of deception during the Cold War, his relationship with Liz Gold will challenge his world views. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The play will star Rory Keenan as Alec Leamas and Agnes O’Casey as Liz Gold.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joining them is Gunnar Cauthery as Hans-Dieter Mundt, John Ramm as George Smiley, Philip Arditti as Fielder, Norma Atallah as Miss Crail and the President of the Tribunal, Matt Betteridge as Riemeck and Kiever, Ian Drysdale as Control, Tom Kanji as Ashe and David Rubin as Pitt and Ford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Max Jones is the production designer with Lighting by Azusa Ono, sound by Elizabeth Purnell and composition by Paul Englishby. Moreover, Jessica Ronane cast the show and movement direction is by Lucy Cullingford.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
