His Majesty’s Theatre is located in Haymarket, City of Westminster, London. The building dates back to 1897, although the theatre itself was established back in 1705 by renowned playwright John Vanbrugh. Initially, it was an opera house because at that time, there were only two London theatres had the right to stage drama plays that were unaccompanied by music. The name of the theatre changed with the gender of the monarch and it frequently switched from Her Majesty to His Majesty’s Theatre.
