Satine is the headline act at the Moulin Rouge and Christian is a penniless writer obsessed by the bohemian ideals. They start a secret relationship behind the back of the evil duke who holds the deeds to the Moulin Rouge. In a world where aristocrats and bohemians rub shoulders, they will find out if love really does conquer all.

The musical adaptation first premiered in 2018 at the Emerson Colonial Theatre in Boston before officially opening on Broadway at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre in July 2019. The Broadway production received 14 nominations at the 74th Tony Awards and went on to win 10 including Best Musical.

When did Moulin Rouge Open in London?

The West End production officially opened in January 2022 with previews starting in November 2021 at London’s Piccadilly Theatre. The production was nominated for 5 Olivier Awards in 2022 including Best New Musical.
