Wow! It was a big week for New Cast Announcements! Us here at Theatre Bookings have been keeping on top of it all for you so you don’t have to. We’ve compiled a handy list of last week’s cast announcements so it’s all the news is in one place for our fellow theatre fans.

Cabaret New Lead Cast

New Cast Announcements - Cabaret

Cabaret was the first to drop the new cast announcements. The show which first opened in the West End in 2021, is famous for their star casting to lead the show. Musical Theatre superstars Billy Porter and Marisha Wallis are currently filling the lead roles. Wallis will hand the role of Sally Bowles over to Bridgerton and Enola Holmes 2 star Hannah Dodd. This wil be Dodd’s theatrical and West End debut. Rob Madge will take on the role of the Emcee. Madge is known for their work in Musical Theatre and often goes viral on TikTok.

Also appearing in the cast are Daniel Bowerbank as Clifford Bradshaw, Vivien Parry as Fraulein Schneider and Fenton Gray as Herr Schultz. Fred Haig plays Ernst Ludwig with Jessica Kirton as Fraulein Kost/Fritzie. Xenoa Campbell-Ledgister plays Texas alongside Sam Darius as Bobby. Damon Gould is the Understudy Emcee and swing. Adrian Grove plays Herman/Max with El Haq Latief as Helga, Justin-Lee Jones as Hans, Hícaro Nicolai as Lulu, Alexandra Regan as Rosie and Ben Simon Wilson as Victor. Lastly, Anne-Marie Wojna as Fenchie and Alternate Sally Bowles .

The swings are Ela Lisondra, Andy Rees, Marina Tavolieri, Patrick Wilden, and Lucy Young.

Leading role alternates Anne-Marie Wojna and Damon Gould will play Sally Bowles and the Emcee respectively on scheduled days.

Listed below are the current dates the alternates will appear:

Currently, Dodd will not appear and the role will be played by Wojna on certain performances. The dates are Wednesday 4 June at 2.00pm, Thursday 12 June at 7.30pm, Wednesday 18 June at 2.00pm, Thursday 26 June at 7.30pm, Wednesday 2 July at 2.00pm, Thursday 10 July at 7.30pm, Wednesday 16 July at 2.00pm, Thursday 24 July at 7.30pm, Wednesday 30 July at 2.00pm, Thursday 7 August at 7.30pm, Wednesday 13 August at 2.00pm, Thursday 21 August at 7.30pm, Wednesday 27 at August 2.00pm, Thursday 4 September at 7.30pm, Wednesday 10 September at 2.00pm and Thursday 18 September at 7.30pm.

As for Madge, they are not scheduled to appear from Monday, 9 June to Monday, 16 June (inclusive), and on Tuesday, 16 September.

The show is set in Berlin in 1930 in a cabaret club. The show explores decadance amid the rising threat of the Nazis. The production has turned the theatre literally into The Kit Kat Club and has a company of prologue performers. The prologue performers are James Hastings, Dak Mashava, Nethra Menon, Oluwatosin Omotosho, Kristin Wei Wong, Rachel Benson, Ami Benton, Joseph Hardy, Andrew Linnie, Jack William Parry and Jazmyn Raikes.

Hannah Dodd and Rob Madge will start performances on 29th May until 20th September.

The Mousetrap New Cast Announcements

New Cast Announcements - The Mousetrap

The longest running play in the West End was the second West End Production to announce their new cast. The new cast are joining the ranks of an estimated 400+ actors who have performed in this show. It is celebrating its 73rd birthday in the West End this November. What’s more, when the new cast join, it will mark their 30,069th performance.

The direction will be from Phillip Franks while Denise Silvery continues her role of artistic director.

The cast will take over the classic whodunnit on 12th May at the St Martin’s Theatre.

The new cast include Georgina Duncan as Mollie Ralston and Sam Hollis as Giles Ralston. Adam Woolley will play Christopher Wren alongside Lucy Tregear as Mrs Boyle. You can catch Neil Reidman as Major Metcalf and Chloe Fenwick-Brown as Miss Casewell. Completing the cast is John Wark as Mr Paravicini, and Jack Condon as Detective Sergeant Trotter.

They also announced the shows understudies. They are Olivia Baird, Hilary Derrett, Richard Parnwell, Ben Riddle and Clive Marlowe.

The new cast will start from 12th May 2025. The Mousetrap is currently booking until 21st March 2026 at the St Martin’s Theatre.

The Revival of Evitas New Cast Announcements

New Cast Announcements - Evita

Evita was the next show to announce their new cast. This revival is a highly anticipated production for many reasons. Firstly, it is opening at The London Palladium, one of the city’s most iconic venues. Secondly, Olivier Award Winning visionary director, Jamie Lloyd is working on the project. Thirdly, it stars Hollywood actress, Rachel Zegler.

The production team announced Zegler as the show’s leading lady Eva Peron earlier in March. Later, they announced Broadway star Diego Andres Rodriguez as Che.

This week, the team made their New Cast announcement which completes the cast. James Olivas is cast as Juan Perón, with Aaron Lee Lambert as Agustín Magaldi. Completing the lead characters is Bella Brown as The Mistress/Alternate Eva.

The ensemble are Carl Au, Gabriela Benedetti, Shakara Brown and Damian Buhagiar. Also in the ensemble are Kyeirah D’Marni, Sally Frith, DeAngelo Jones, Lucas Koch and Natasha Leaver. They are alongside Michael Lin, Dianté Lodge, Louis Mackrodt, Mireia Mambo and Mia Mullarkey. Lastly, completing the cast is Perry O’Dea, Alysha Sontae, Monica Swayne, Jon Tsouras and Harrison Wilde.

The Swings are Myla Carmen, Barney Hudson, Nathan Louis-Fernand, Kirsty Anne Shaw, Ricardo Spriggs and Regan Bailey Walker.

Finally, the role of the child is shared between Auora Breslin, Lois Haidar, Siena Merilind-Wu and Ffion Rosalie Williams.

Evita is about Argentina’s first Lady Eva Peron and her journey of climbing to her position of power.

The show will open at The London Palladium from 14th June until 6th September.

Titanique New Cast Announcements

New Cast Announcements - Titanique

Titanique is the proud owner of the 2025 Olivier Award for The Best New Entertainment Show. It is a jukebox musical featuring some of Celine Dion’s greatest hits. Celine Dion is played by Lauren Drew. Drew is the current Celine and is staying on with the new cast. The show is a parody of the classic film Dion provided the soundtrack to. Who better to tell the story of that fateful night than Celine herself!

Also staying on through this cast change is Darren Bennett as Victor Garber/Luigi, Charlotte Wakefield as Molly Brown and Adrianne Langley. These are as well as Madison Swan and Rodney Vubya as on-stage background vocalists, and lastly offstage understudy Freddie King.

The new cast joining the show is Luke Bayer as Jack, Richard Carson as Cal, Hiba Elchikhe as Rose, Carl Mullaney as Ruth, Tosh Wanogho-Maudas The Iceberg, and Caitlin Tipping as offstage understudy.

The new cast will join the ship on 10th June. Titanique is currently playing at The Criterion Theatre until 4th January 2026.
