Your eyes do not deceive you, that is in fact, Ewan McGregor. McGregor is playing the lead role in this Ibsen play. He plays Henry Solness, an architect who is celebrating the unveiling of a new design. At this party hosted by his wife, a former student of Henry turns up with whom he previously shared an intimate connection. As the evening unfolds, they face to face themselves with a reckoning that tilts the axis of their lives.

Acting powerhouse Kate Fleetwood plays Henry’s wife in this production. Fleetwod is known for her extensive work including in BBC’s Harlots and the movie production of Les Miserables.

My Master Builder is playing at the Wyndhams Theatre until 12th July.

The Great Gatsby Rehearsal Images

Adapted from F.Scott Fitzgeralds classic novel, The Great Gatsby opened at London’s Coliseum just last week! You may remember the film adaptation released back in 2013 starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan.

Additionally, there are a few famous faces in this production including Corbin Bleu from Disneys High School Musical. He plays Nick Carraway who is essentially the narrator of this piece as he witnesses Jays Gatsby’s life. Amber Davies who made her fame in the hit reality TV show Love Island is another famous face in this production and she plays Jordan Baker.

The Great Gatsby is playing at London’s Coliseum until 7th September.

New West End Images: Production Shots!

This is the only show that opened this month which has released production shots and we love to see them!

The Comedy About Spies Production Images

The Comedy About Spies is the latest creation by Mischief Theatre’s fantastic team! It opened at the Noel Coward Theatre on 14th April. Their first show, The Play That Goes Wrong, is the longest running comedy play on the West End. This is currently their second show in the West End. They have another joining later this year, The Christmas Carol That Goes Wrong. The franchise is all about comedy and anything that can go wrong, will! This production is even more exciting as the original Mischief Theatre cast have reunited for this super secret operation.

The play is about a British agent who nabs plans for a top-secret weapon. Not only that, but CIA and KGB spies converge on London’s Piccadilly Hotel in pursuit of these plans. The show includes many other whacky characters and enough double agents to confuse even the sharpest operative! We watch as the show goes wildly out of control.

You can secure your tickets for The Comedy About Spies at the Noel Coward Theatre until 5th September.

New West End Images: Olivier Award Winners 2025

The Olivier Awards 2025 took place at the Royal Albert Hall on Sunday 6th April. What a night! We have selected only a few images of the spectacular evening, for more information about all the nominees you can click here to read more.

Pictured Above (bottom) is Imelda Staunton who was the winner of Best Actress in a Musical. This made it her 5th Olivier Award win. Staunton will be returning to the stage next month in Mrs. Warren’s Profession at the Garrick Theatre. Also, in this play, her onstage daughter will be played by her real life daughter, Bessie Carter. The show depicts Mrs. Warren (played by Staunton) and her tumultuous relationship with her daughter. Her daughter is a modern woman, university educated and doesn’t know where her mother got her money from as a self made woman.

John Dagleish (top right) received a win for Best Actor in a Musical for his role of Benjamin Button in the new musical, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. What’s more, the show itself won the award for Best New Musical! It is based on a short story which was also adapted to a film starring Leonardo Dicaprio. Dagliesh plays the title character who is born an old man and ages backwards.

Set in Cornwall, the actors play musical instruments live on stage, adding to the sentiment of this popular new musical. You can catch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at the Ambassadors Theatre until 30th August.

Supporting Roles Winners

The winner for Best Supporting Actress in a musical is Maimuna Memon (top left) for Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet Of 1812 at Donmar Warehouse. Memon was also in the hit show at the National Theatre Standing at the Sky’s Edge previously and is a singer songwriter as well.

We find out what really happen on board the Titanic on that fateful night and who better to tell the story than “Celine Dion” herself.
